Seizure Management

Course Summary

This course is a short, non-accredited course, designed to train participants in the first aid management of seizures – particularly for casualties who are of infant and child age.

This course is suitable for any person working or living around people who suffer from allergies and asthma conditions – specifically young children.

This unit is not nationally accredited, however, a certificate of attendance is awarded to participants.

There are no barriers to entry on the grounds of age, gender, political or cultural background.

Entrants to the course are best equipped to successfully undertake the training if they have language, literacy and oracy skills that align to Level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). 

In addition, it is recommended that entrants have current competency in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

Assessment of competency must include practical demonstration in conjunction with theory assessments.
